The accessories shelf holds everything that is not cannabis: grinders, rolling papers and cones, pipes, vape batteries, dab rigs and portable devices, lighters, storage jars, humidity packs and cleaning supplies. None of it counts against a purchase limit, and all of it is sold at the same 21 and over counter as the products it is used with.

Accessories are the shelf people forget until they are home. Flower needs a grinder and something to put it in; a cartridge needs a battery; a concentrate needs a rig or a device that heats it; and all of it keeps better in a jar than in the bag it came in. Each store carries a version of the same shelf, with brands that vary.
Nothing here contains cannabis, so nothing here is lab tested or counted against a daily limit. It is sold under the same rule as the rest of the store: 21 and over with ID, or 18 and over with a physician's recommendation.
For flower
A grinder breaks bud down evenly; the multi-chamber kind collects kief in the bottom. Rolling papers and pre-rolled cones are for rolling your own; a cone needs only filling. Glass pipes and one-hitters are the no-paper option. Lighters and hemp wicks are beside them. An airtight glass jar and a humidity pack are what keep flower from drying out at home.
For cartridges and concentrates
A 510-thread battery fits nearly every cartridge on the vape shelf, and a variable-voltage one lets you adjust how hot it runs. Concentrates need heat and a surface: a dab rig with a torch, an electronic rig, or a portable device that does the same job with a battery. Dab tools, carb caps and replacement glass are on the same shelf. A budtender will tell you which device suits the concentrate you have chosen.
Storage and cleaning
Glass jars with a seal, in several sizes, and humidity packs that hold a jar at a steady level are the storage basics. For cleaning, isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt are the traditional answer for glass, and there are purpose-made solutions and brushes beside them. A pipe that is cleaned tastes like the flower in it; one that is not tastes like everything that came before.
What to buy on a first visit
If you bought flower: a grinder, papers or cones, a lighter and a jar. If you bought a cartridge: a 510 battery, unless the cart is an all-in-one. If you bought a concentrate: ask, because the right device depends on the texture. If you bought edibles or a tincture: nothing at all.
Questions people ask
- Do accessories count toward the daily purchase limit?
- No. The limits in California's Health and Safety Code count cannabis by weight, flower and concentrate separately. A grinder, a battery, a jar or a rig contains no cannabis and is not counted, though it is sold at the same 21 and over counter.
- Will any battery work with any cartridge?
- Any 510-thread battery fits any 510-thread cartridge, which is most of the vape shelf. Pod systems fit only their own brand's battery, and the box says so. An all-in-one pen needs no separate battery. If in doubt, bring the cartridge box to the counter.
