How a brand reaches a licensed shelf
A brand in California is a licensed manufacturer or cultivator, or a company that works with one, and its products can only be sold at a licensed retailer after passing through a licensed distributor and a state-licensed lab. The batch number on the package ties it to that lab’s certificate of analysis, which any of our counters can show you. What we carry from each brand differs by store and by week: a Peninsula shelf and a Mendocino shelf are stocked for different customers, and specials move products through. The menu at each store is the source of truth, and the brand’s own page, where we have written one, says who they are and what formats they make.
